The current Hospital Beata Vergine, the Academy of Architecture immediately adjacent, Villa Argentina and the road axis of via Turconi, which leads directly to the historical center of the city, are spatially and architecturally crucial elements that will have to dialogue and integrate with the new hospital expansion. Our project relates to the existing geometries, with the current hospital, that has to be physically connected and the large area, substantially a square, where the previously mentioned functions are located. Great importance was also given to the relationship between built volume and external spaces. In fact we created a large courtyard treated as a garden and planted, in order to obtain a green lung dedicated to relaxing and soothing.
