The project consists in a building complex with two apartments in a lot characterised by a steep front facing the lake of Lugano. The rough site suggest the main idea of the design, with a sequence of stone slabs that are excavated within the natural hill.

The organisation of the different spaces is coherent with the architectural approach: the composition starts from the upper level, where the main entrance is located, and then steps down like a giant staircase with a sequence of generous terraces and gardens that qualify the building complex. The scale of the intervention is therefore reduced in its impact by the fragmentation of the different volumes in section, offering a nicely proportioned insertion in the natural landscape.
